Jurassic Coast Hike - Tyneham Village to Chapmans Pool Circular

This was another hike that we created and completed during our Everest base camp trek.  It starts at the ghost village of Tyneham in Dorset and heads out east over the hills towards Kimmeridge and then drops down to the South West Coastal Path before looping back along the sea cliffs.  It is a stunningly beautiful hike with some amazing scenery; Chapmans Pool, Kimmeridge Ledges, and Worbarrow Bay.

It is a reasonable tough hike climbing a total of 729 meters and takes around 5 - 6 hours.

One point to note is that Tyneham village is within the confines of the Lulworth Military Firing Range.  Don't let this put you off but you need to be aware that the ranges are open normally at weekends.  There are a few weekends however when they are also closed, and there are some weekdays during holiday periods when they are open.  As part of your planning please visit Dorset Gov Website to check that the ranges are open at the time you are intending to visit.
